Throughout his 17 years in business, Pauric says that although his customers have changed, their desire for the highest quality products and highest level of craftsmanship have remained steadfast. However, in the past number of years, he has seen many of his customers make the switch to gas.
Pauric has seen a direct correlation between the increasing popularity of gas, and the growth of his business.
“Two years ago, I was working alone, today we are a team of eight and I have 3 vans on the road servicing customers in Clare, Limerick, Galway and Tipperary. We have worked extremely hard to grow our business, but I have no doubt that the current popularity of gas has played a significant role in that. I have noticed a real increase in demand for gas over the past number of years, and I had to upsize my businesses to keep up with that demand. The reliability, and efficiency of gas, and the fact that it is a cleaner fuel source, make it attractive for domestic customers, I myself have switched to gas at home. From a commercial perspective, it is safe and there is the comfort of security of supply.”
Pauric has been working in partnership with Calor for over two years, and can draw similarities between his business and theirs:
The last two years have been extremely busy for Pauric Gallagher Gas and Oil Services, and although the company has grown, the local community is always at the heart of what they do.
“The loyalty of our customers is what has allowed us to grow our business. We are extremely fortunate to have a very supportive, experienced and driven team. I work daily with my brother in law, and my uncle who I once studied underneath as an apprentice. When I look back, it’s amazing the amount of change that the business has gone through over the past couple of years. When I started out, I only branded my van so the local community would know who was pulling up into their driveway, today we are very proud that there are Pauric Gallagher Gas and Oil Services vans travelling across four counties in Ireland.”
