Corporate Social Responsibility for Calor means a commitment to managing the social, environmental and economic effects of our business operations in a responsible manner. We do this in line with the expectations of our employees, our customers, our suppliers, the environment, and the communities in which we operate.
We conduct our business based on the principles of health, safety, integrity and with care for our people and the environment. We want to make a real difference for our customers and the communities that we serve. We want to make our operations sustainable, as well as contribute positively to the global climate change agenda.
Sustainability is at the heart of Calor’s business strategy. By 2037, our ambition is that all of our energy products will be from renewable sources, the company’s centenary year. The company is well on the way to achieving its ambition of 10% renewable energy supply by early 2021. We have also set a goal of a 25% reduction in our carbon emissions by 2025.
Creating a sustainable culture means developing a value system which seeks to ensure that we meet the needs of today without compromising future generations. Working with Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI), we have put in place measurable goals to drive performance. Our strategy is based on 5 key pillars.
