Movies To Watch this Valentines Day

Struggling to find what to watch for Valentine’s Day? Whether you’re spending it with a loved one, your housemates or enjoying some me-time, we have you covered with some binge-worthy content to keep you entertained.

So, cosy up, grab some treats and Enjoy!

  1. P.S I Love You (2007) – A young Widow navigates life with the guidance of love letters sent from her husband. Filmed in Dublin and Wicklow, this heart-warming, hilarious and super sweet movie will definitely leave you feeling warm and fuzzy!

  2. When Harry met Sally (1989) – Best friends and college graduates Harry and Sally (Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan) discuss if men and women can ever just be friends. Ten years later they bump into each other and decide to put the theory to the test.

  3. The Notebook (2004) – It’s 1940 with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. A love story which needs no introduction. There won’t be a dry eye in the house with this one.

  4. Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) – It wouldn’t be a complete list if we didn’t include Bridget Jones. The first movie in the trilogy, Bridget’s hilarious antics are definitely worth a watch!

  5. Leap Year (2010) – Based on the old Irish tradition that women can propose to men on February 29th, this follows the story of a woman who plans to propose in Dublin. A cheesy yet sweet film - albeit with some questionable Irish accents, this rom-com should definitely be on your Valentine’s watch list.

  6. Sleepless in Seattle (1993) – A woman falls for a man she hears on the radio. A super romantic story set in the beautiful rainy Seattle. One that will definitely make you say ‘Awwwh’.

  7. The Proposal (2009) – A successful book editor enlists the help of her dutiful assistant to temporarily propose to her so she can avoid deportation. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Gosling make the perfect comedy pairing in this heart-warming tale.

  8. The Quiet Man (1952) – Another classic Irish love story set in rural Ireland. Maureen O’Hara and John Wayne portray a typical 1920s couple full of love and laughter. An oldie but most definitely a goodie!

  9. Dirty Dancing (1987) – ‘Nobody puts Baby in the corner’, and nobody could stop us from putting Baby on this list! A well-loved classic which will have you up dancing by the end, Dirty Dancing is an absolute must for anyone looking for a bit of cheesiness this Valentine’s Day.

  10. Valentine’s Day (2010) – We might possibly have saved the cheesiest flick until last, but it deserves a spot on the list nonetheless. This star-studded casting includes Bradley Cooper, Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts and more. A very simple yet great watch.
