How to know when it’s time to upgrade your boiler

There are some key clues that homeowners frequently come across that indicate that it’s time to change their boiler, tell-tale signs include:

A boiler which keeps switching itself on and off involuntarily.

A boiler that isn’t producing heat or hot water, and as a result radiators not heating up when turned on.

Any leaks or dripping from the boiler.

Any strange banging, whistling or gurgling noises coming from the boiler.

The pilot light of the boiler not working.

A boiler that begins to lose pressure, and central heating loosing responsiveness as a result.

Heating turning on and off when it’s not supposed to, as the result of a problem with the boiler’s thermostat. Kettling, a build-up of lime scale, that causes boiler to make same noise as a boiling kettle.

A frozen condensate pipe , which can be identified by a fault code or warning notification on boilers indicates that the boiler is not functioning properly.
