The Rewrite programme is part of Cool Planet Group, a family of revolutionary companies working with global industry to cool the planet as fast as possible. Rewrite is a digital climate action training programme for school children.
The programme engages students from across the country around the topic of climate change and aims to teach students about sustainability and climate change and what they can do to help fix it. To date Calor have sponsored 600 places for the programme in schools close to Calor offices and operational sites.
The schools were nominated by Calor employees, allowing us to give back to the communities we are based in. For the coming school year, Calor will support 800 places, with the aim to increase to 1000 places as soon as possible.

Teachers are provided with the full curriculum and lesson plans for the programme, to make it easy and accessible to teach student. The programme combines self-directed online learning, interactive activities, and offline assignments.
Successful completion of the 12 modules will also count towards the Community section of the President’s award. The President’s award is Ireland’s national youth award and is a self-development programme for young people aged 14-25, recognised positively by employers and universities.
Feedback from the schools involved has highlighted that the program content has resulted in higher engagement and interest levels from students.
